a summer long contest!

The Everlasting Summer Contest

Theme: What does "everlasting summer" mean to you? Is it a place? A feeling? An object? The goal of this contest is to capture in the most artistic and creative way possible what "everlasting summer" is to you.

Mediums: Any artistic medium is allowed. It includes but is not limited to: Traditional art, digital, photography, artisan craft, and literature.

Rules:
1. Your work must be tasteful. Basically nothing pornographic, okay?
2. This must be a NEW deviation. Anything submitted before June 18th is automatically disqualified.
3. No collaborations allowed. It must be %100 your own work.
4. Valid, legal stock resources are allowed, but they MUST be credited.
5. Of course, the work must be associated with the theme.
6. Please provide in the 'Artist's Comments' an explanation of the work and how it is relevant to the theme of 'everlasting summer'.

Prizes:
3 month subscription
One full color traditional illustration from ~CatWoman4ever or a sketch set (includes sketch book, pencils, eraser, and set of 12 Prismacolor Verithin pencils)
A 2 week feature courtesy of =liquiddarkers
A week journal feature from ~Redeemer-of-light
2 Manips of the winners choice from ~Redeemer-of-light
A vector of their fav celeb from ~Redeemer-of-light
support stamp of the winner from ~Redeemer-of-light

September 6th 2009. That means you have all summer to make one awesome entry!

Tomorrow, I finally graduate high school. I'll be practicing all day tomorrow for it. I'm very excited, yet really sad at the same time. I going to miss my shop advertising/art and my wonderful teachers there. However, I'm so excited to go to college! Ah, what a bittersweet feeling.

Many thanks to Mr. Haney, Ms. Edelman, and Mrs. Sowers! You are the very best and I appreciate everything you've taught me! I promise I'll visit you all next year!

I now have a tablet and I can't wait to practice with it! It's a Wacom Intuos. _{Thank you, Mr. H} Gotta get a replacement pen for it though.
